Plastic Oceans

Plastic Oceans Foundation Canada was established in 2016 as a non-profit organization and a Registered Canadian Charity with the goal to end ocean plastic waste. We operate with the belief that we can and must act locally in order to create change globally and have chosen to partner with them on their mission to clean our oceans. Plastic Oceans Canada creates change by supporting and implementing programs to clean our coastlines, advocate for Canadian businesses to take impactful steps towards eliminating their plastic footprint, educating the public on plastic pollution to achieve behaviour change, and creating community involvement with its BlueCommunities program.

Through this supportive program aligned and driven by embracing the circular economy, our missions align to eliminate single use foam and plastics from ALL of our packaging and to contribute $1 from every sale toward their Emergency Response Program. Annually, over 300 million tons of plastic is produced around the world and unfortunately, more than 90% of that plastic is not recycled. Distressingly enough, much of that plastic ends up in our oceans with at least 8 million tons of plastic being dumped into the ocean each year.
